Reshaping Perceptions through Palm Oil Dialogues – Health, Markets, Climate.
India is one of the largest oilseed producers yet the biggest importer of vegetable oils, with palm oil holding the largest share. This highlights palm oil’s central role in India’s edible oil economy.
Despite its wide use in food and non-food sectors, myths about its health and environmental impact persist, limiting its true potential. To address this, the Government launched the National Mission on Edible Oils – Oil Palm to boost domestic production and reduce import dependency.
Last year’s event, “Palm Oil – Transforming Perceptions for Health and Nutrition” in Indore, successfully dispelled misconceptions with expert insights and highlighted palm oil’s business significance. Building on this success, Palm Oil Conclave 2025 will serve as a platform to unlock opportunities, strengthen trade, and promote sustainable growth.
